The Touchtones are a new ska/punk band out of Andover, MA. Originally formed in October, 2001, the band is breaking ground in the suburban Boston music scene with their new 8 song album: Destined for Flavor. The Touchtones reputation took a jump-start after winning the Andover High School battle of the bands-the first full public set the band performed. Touchtones style can be roughly defined as new-wave ska/funk/reggae flavored with pop-punk (Check out the Mp3's on our home page to see for yourself). Vocal style and clean hamonies mixed with a unique selection of instruments-soprano, alto and tenor saxaphone, steel drum and hand drums clearly defines the touchtones sound. All sophmores at the Andover High School, the band plays all original songs influenced by Reel Big Fish, Sublime, Less Than Jake, The Pietasters, and The Mighty Mighty Bosstones.
